Hi there!  

I’m Kalen, an editor with a keen eye for storytelling and the ability to have fun in almost any situation.  Thank you for taking the time to enjoy my work and share a slice of my upbeat, energetic personality.

I have 13+ years of professional experience in post production, a career that was born in my fledgling years with a Hi8 camcorder and a penchant for taking flight off of ramps on anything that had wheels.  That camcorder led me to media productions classes in high school, a wonderful education at SCAD, and a career that I love, so I make sure to thank Sony in all of my acceptance speeches.

In my tenure I have worked with many high profile brands to create award winning work, most recently being shortlisted at the 2023 AICP Post Awards for the regional Kansas City Royals ‘City Connect’ spot.  I also won Silver awards in the categories of Editing and Film, Video + Cinematography for Big Brother Big Sister and MGP Whiskey at the American Advertising Awards in Kansas City.

I’m dedicated to my work, my family, and smoking meats (my 90 minute ribeye is on point).  I love games and puzzles of all kinds — I hold a record of 20 seconds on the New York Times daily mini-crossword.
